Youth Worker | Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group

Opportunity Details

This is an excellent opportunity to build new skills while making a difference to others.  Youth Workers will be required to help young people during activities and outings within the group, assess the needs of the young people during the session, support young people to facilitate personal and social growth to encourage greater social inclusion, and attend training and development opportunities as provided by the group alongside team meetings when necessary. 

Organisational Aims and Objectives 

The organisation's purposes are the advancement of education - to support and empower parents and carers of children and young people with ADHD; the advancement of health - the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; the provision of recreational facilities and the promotion of equality and diversity - raising awareness of the condition, tolerance and acceptance of ADHD.

Restrictions

Experience; An interest in ADHD/ Additional Support Needs is desirable however not a requirement.

Fundraisers | Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group

Opportunity Details

You'll have an interest in Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both of us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by ADHD in your area. You'll be a good organiser with plenty of creative ideas, preferably with fundraising, sales or event management experience.

Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on the number and type of fundraising activities arranged, but there are no set requirements. You will need time to plan and attend a series of fundraising activities and events throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a local charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by ADHD.

Experience required:  We are looking for people with creative, fundraising, sales or event management experience.

Restriction details:  The minimum age required is due to the need to enter licensed premises to collect money tins.

Travel details:  Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group is based at Manhattan Works, Dundonald street.

Minimum age:  18 (due to gambling and alcohol licensing laws)
